I have an instructor who has imported a publisher's question bank and would like to easily locate all of the fill-in-the-blank items in order to delete them. Is there an efficient way to do so?
Pamela, unfortunately, no, there isn’t any easy way to sort questions in a question bank. If there is a key word associated with each of them you could do a Ctrl-F to find them to delete them, but that’s about it.
Thank you, Kona! I anticipated as much.
For anybody who might visit this discussion, we looked to expand all of the items in the bank in order to scroll through them and identify the fill-in-the-blank (FIB) items, but he has too many questions in each bank so that function is not available.
I also noted that the FIB items used underscores in place of the blank, so we tried to ctrl+F for underscores only to find that the publisher also used that approach in multiple choice questions. As such, each item has to be opened into edit mode to confirm the question type.
