how do I add respondus lockdown browser to my canvas site?
Hello Loretta Reilly...
Thanks for the clarification on what role you have in your course. Once the Respondus LockDown Browser LTI app has been set up in your school's Canvas environment, you should be able to add it to your course navigation by following the steps outlined in this Guide: How do I manage Course Navigation links?. For example, my button is called "LockDown Browser". Once you have that button as part of your course navigation, you should see a listing of any quizzes that you have already set up in your Canvas course. You can then select which quizzes you would like to use in conjunction with the LockDown Browser. As my other response that I linked to earlier indicates, students would need to use a unique URL website that you give them to download the LockDown Browser to their own PC (or it may have been installed on your school's network?). Downloading a generic LockDown Browser to a computer will not work because the URL you give students needs to be unique to your course/quiz.
I hope this helps, Loretta.
I am unsure if you are a student or an instructor, but I replied to a similar question this past weekend about the Respondus Lockdown Browser. After reviewing my feedback there, can you please come back to this topic to let the Community know if that topic helped to answer your question? Looking forward to hearing back from you soon.
I am an instructor and want to have the respondus browser show up on my Canvas site on the left list of options. I have set up quizzes using respondus
