I created a calendar while in "Instructor mode," but it shows up only for me and not for the specific course. What do I do so that students can see it as well?
Hi Timothy Hoare! I see this happen often with teachers and it is such a simple fix! When you make the event or assignment, you have to pay attention to which calendar it is going to go to. Think Google calendar if you use that.... If you notice off to the right hand side, you have various calendars with various colors attached to them. By default, your items may be going to your own calendar which only you can see. You must assign the event/assignment to the right calendar. I have a screenshot for you! Notice the last item says calendar with a drop down. Here is where you select the correct calendar so that your students can see it!
I hope this helps!
Thanks for your reply. In the meantime, I realized what I had done and redid the calendar after clicking on the course box in that calendar list. It was not a huge number of entries to put in, so all is well now. But my initial question was this: if this happened to occur again in the future, once the calendar has been created (under my name in that calendar list), is there a way to import that existing calendar into the course itself without having to redo the whole thing from scratch?

Unfortunately, I think you just have to go to those items and choose the correct calendar instead of your own. I don't think there is a way to do them all at once.
No worries-- in the future, I will just be sure to check the right box in the calendar list. Kind of a mystery to me how it happened, as the month of Feb was there for both me as instructor and for the students in the course. But then from March on, the student view was not there. I must have inadvertantly toggled something on/off that list in the midst of creating the Spring calendar. I am very glad that I happened to check it only a couple of days into the missing month!
Thanks again for your fast replies!
