Hi, I recorded video through ARC but after 45 minutes of trying to upload it gave me an error and disappeared. What happened? And does the video exist anywhere else on my computer or is it just gone??
First, go to ARC through Canvas and confirm it isn't there. Perhaps it completed uploading despite the error. It looks to me like the ARC screen recorder deletes the video files from your computer after it uploads. But, if it didn't complete the upload process perhaps it is still there? On my Mac, the video files look to get stored in Documents, Screen Recorder, Recordings. If you see something there that is good, but I don't know how useful the files alone are like that. Try this to access the recording if you see files.
From ARC, launch the recorder and make a very short screen recording. After clicking Done, don't upload it. Instead click the Back to Recordings link the in upper left side of the screen. If the first recording shows here click on it and then try to upload it again.
Beyond the suggestions I've provided it also might be a good idea to check with Canvas support by clicking on the Help button in Canvas and selecting Report a Problem.
