Can I change the timeout settings so I don't get logged off after a few minutes if inactivity?
Hi Issamar Martinez
Does this thread help?
What is the timeout for Canvas?
Canvas certainly should not be logging you out due to inactivity after only a few minutes. I go for days without being logged out. The only reason I can think of for this happening is if something on your computer is erasing your browser history or wipe out cookies. If that were happening an a regular basis like every few minutes, I could see Canvas showing you as not logged in and making you log in again.
Every couple of minutes sounds like an issue of not being able to set a session cookie. That could be some settings to block 3rd party cookies or some other privacy extension that is causing problems (adblock?)
Depending on the type of login, there may be a system imposed timeout. For example, we use CAS single-sign on solution with a token timeout that has a hard-limit on the total life, so we cannot stay logged in forever.
Maricopa.edu has a Canvas Support page, I would encourage Issamar to contact them if this problem is still going on.
