canvas email verification problem

I'm not sure if this is related to the problem where notifications aren't being sent out, so if it is, I apologize for a question that's being worked on.

 

When I go to my profile to add a way to contact me, it sends me to the settings page. when I go there, it wants me to reconfirm my email. I resend the email to confirm, and when I click the link, it says that I have already confirmed it.

The bit that is hard to read says "logging in."

When I click that button, it just sends me back to the canvas homepage if I am logged in already, or if I am logged out it just sends me to the single sign-on portal. If I log in there, it will send me to the canvas homepage as well, where the settings tab still wants me to confirm my email. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem or if i am just missing some obvious solution.
