Certainly we don't ALL have to reinvent the wheel when we set up quizzes. Going back and forth between instructor and student view to fine-tune instructions is very time-consuming.
Hello Susan Kauffman Welcome to the Canvas Community. Thank you for posting your question. Instructure (the folks that make Canvas) have all kinds of written and video Guides on how to use the various features of the Canvas LMS (Learning Management System). For specifics on Quizzes, you can find those here:
The above information is for the current quizzing engine, but there is a newer Quizzing engine that Instructure has been working on called Quizzes.Next, and I'm not sure if your school is using that or not. Those Guides can be found at this link:
Finally, you can also find these Guides by navigating around this site, the Canvas Community. From any Community screen, click on the "Guides" drop-down menu at the top of the screen, and then choose "Canvas" >> "STUDENT" (or "INSTRUCTOR" for Guides for that role). The Guides for Quizzes.Next and video tutorials can also be found in that "Guides" drop-down menu, too.
I hope this information will be of help to you, Susan. Please let Community members know if you have any questions about this information.
