I'm not seeing the ability to anotate student assignment in the Speedgrader with DocViewer. It worked a week or two ago, but not it's absent.
Okay. I fiddled around with it. I was trying out the "peer review" feature for the first time and realize I had it pre-set for peer review. I was giving the student feedback because they were early though. Once I removed that setting, all of my annotations feature came back. Perhaps this will help your situation too. I just hope that if I try to re-apply the peer review feature later it won't get me too much trouble.
Hello there, C Harris Thank You for posting your question. To confirm, are you sure that this student has submitted a file type that can be displayed by the DocViewer inside of the SpeedGrader? If this is true and you are still not able to see the annotation tools, have you tried using a different browser such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox to see if that helps? Beyond that, I would recommend that you reach out to the folks at the Canvas Help Desk so that they can log in to your account and see what might be going on. How do I get help with Canvas as an instructor? Once you have contacted the Help Desk, please come back to this topic to provide an update for us so that we know how this was resolved. Good luck!
I am literally having the same problem. I rely heavily on this feature for my class, and I just now sat down to give the appropriate feedback to no avail. I am glad a student was diligent and sent in a draft three days early or else I would have really been in a bind. Looking forward to this getting resolved quickly.
Yes. That's it! Thanks. I realized later that one of my other courses worked, but didn't figure out why -- one was set up for peer review, the other was not.
