Does anyone have Zoom integrated into the Canvas course and now receiving an error after having it successfully integrated?
Hi there, christa watschke Thank You for posting your question. We have the Zoom LTI installed and running in our Canvas environment. What error are you seeing when you try and access the interface? Earlier this month, I replied to another Community member about a User not exist. (1,001) error, and I'm not sure if that is what you are seeing, too. If it is, that discussion is over here: Zoom - user error (1,001). If you are seeing something else, though, can you please provide some more detail and maybe even a screen shot so we can see what you are looking at? Thanks!
It is an error 2216...which says the instructor email isn't valid...but all instructors are having the same issue in multiple courses as of Friday. Canvas @ PSU says Zoom and Zoom thinks it is not their issue.
Hi christa watschke...
Thank you for the additional information. I have an admin account when I log in to http://Zoom.us. Do you also have an admin account? If so, when I log in as an admin, there is an area to create users. We currently have about 20 available licenses (but we are getting more), and each instructor is set up with a "Pro" license. When a user is set up via the Zoom website, the e-mail address used on there should be the same e-mail address that is tied to an instructor's Canvas account. Here are the steps I take:
Once the invite is sent out, I then sent a follow-up e-mail to the instructor because there are a few additional steps that must be done from his/her end to complete the Zoom account activation process. Then, the instructor should be able to add the Zoom button to his/her Canvas course to start holding online video conferences.
Hope this helps, Christa.
Thanks Chris, I am not an admin in Zoom but have contacted the admin! Thanks again, Christa
