It would be massively convenient to be able to message a student by clicking on their name rather than having to navigate to "inbox" losing your place in your workflow. Am I missing something? Is there an easier way?
If you are in the People screen or even in the gradebook you can click on a students name and that will open a tray on the right side of the screen specific to that student and one of the options is to email that student just click on the "envelope" icon:
A window will pop up for you to type in a subject and body of the email.
Have a great day.
Interesting! But I don't get that tray when I click on the student's name from the grade book. (I get a listing of their scores but no icon for messaging.)[cid:871a6b9a-3da4-458a-8e7c-e5d0597089ca]
Hi Donna King
Student Context Cards are a beta feature that your school's canvas Admin can enable or not (see image below). If you don't see it, then your school has not enabled it. I would suggest talking with your Canvas Admin to see if you can get this turned on.
Will do! Thanks!
