I am a Professor. I need to make a list of dates & times for my students to sign up and put their name in the time & date that works for them. I created a group and announcement with all of the dates and times and the students cannot reply to it. Please help!

Hi Kathleen and welcome to the Community! If students cannot reply to an announcement you have made, the first thing I would check is whether or not you have enabled the setting in the announcement to allow users to comment (see the options section of this document, How do I add an announcement in a course?).
If you would like students to sign up for appointments, you might also look at the scheduler option of the calendar (see What is the Scheduler? and How do I add a Scheduler appointment group in a course calendar?).
