Hi eva grzelak , and eva Welcome to the Canvas Community!
Canvas Student is an App for mobile devices - the cut doesn't get much shorter than that; tap the app and you are there.
You can learn more in the Canvas Student guide.
But if you are looking for how you would access your school's Canvas instance on a laptop or PC and are just confused about the terminology, you would go to the website that has your school's Canvas account. Typically, your school will have a link to Canvas on the school's website, although some misguided schools will call Canvas something different - look for a link to "online learning" or "eLearning".
I hope this helps, but if I have completely misunderstood, then please let me know.
OK, thanks. My institution does have a link to Canvas but I have to navigate through its literature to access it.
I much prefer using Canvas on the laptop (faster, can change font size...). Also, there is no “Accounts” icon on the iPhone version.
I don’t understand why there is no shortcut for the laptop.
The manual is ridiculously long.
Using this app is much more time consuming than it should be. It’s a tool, not learning matter as such, and should facilitate the subject, not be a study unto itself.

Hi again, eva grzelak !
Now I am understanding better. So the next time you access Canvas via browser, save the login page as a favorite, then next time you can jump right to it and bypass all the talkie-talkie stuff.
Got it and thanks for the suggestion.
