When I select the "Show one question at a time" and "Lock questions after answering" options I encounter two errors:
- The preview doesn't work
- questions don't display
- no button to return to editing
- It now thinks that student attempts are in progress.
- If you return to edit the quiz, you get a warning.
- If you publish the quiz, you can't go back and un-publish it.
Errors can be reproduced as follows:
Create Quiz (any quiz, graded / ungraded, quiz / survey)
Select the "Show one question at a time" and "Lock questions after answering" options
Add a question to the quiz (create new or import from bank)
Save
Click Preview:
The preview is broken. No questions display, and there is no button to return to editing:
Navigate back to Quizzes, click on quiz, then click 'edit'. Now you have a warning that says students have taken the quiz:
At this point, my quiz is not published. But if I do publish it (say I want to see if the test student encounters the same issue), I can't change it back:
Hi again Tanya Hall, I just replied to your comment on a related discussion, but I will mention it here as well for good measure, if you haven't already, please initiate a support case using the Report a Problem option in the Help menu of the Canvas course in which this is occurring—ideally from the exact place where you are encountering this issue—as described in How do I get help with Canvas as an instructor? I am glad you are finding relevant content in the Community and taking the time to comment as to your experience, but it is also very important for our Support team to investigate this as additional instances of a particular problem can be very useful in troubleshooting the root cause. Thank you very much and do let us know what you hear in regard to this from Canvas Support.
