The video tutorial on Canvas for importing does not contain the drop-down menu on my screen that asks for a "source," and so I do not know what to do at that point. Therefore, I cannot import anything because I am stuck. . . .
Hello mel winstead Welcome to the Canvas Community. Thank you for posting your question. I am not a Moodle user, so I won't be able to provide you with much help. However, to confirm, are you using the instructions outlined in this Guide? How do I import content from Moodle into Canvas? Hoping to hear back from you soon.
Yes, I've tried to use this, but mine doesn't show the "choose file" option beside the word "source" as written on the "guide." regardless, I think the issue is that it wants me to offer the content from the files on my pc, and not actually from my Moodle pages. Is this the case? - is it the case that Canvas will not actually import from my Moodle site?
Hello mel winstead...
Thank you for replying. As I stated before, I am not too familiar with Moodle, so what I'm going to provide may not work for your case. Based on this website I found via a Google search, https://kb.wisc.edu/luwmad/page.php?id=59833, it does look like you first need to export your course from Moodle before importing it into Canvas. I don't know how accurate these instructions are, but this is the best I could find for you. I hope this will help.
Ok, I will try it, Thanks a bunch.
