How to put a print screen photo into reply.
Hello there, Lynda NIffenegger Welcome to the Canvas Community. Thank you for posting your question. One of the easiest ways to do this is to use the Windows "Snipping Tool" (I'm not sure what the Mac version equivalent would be, however.) https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/13776/windows-use-snipping-tool-to-capture-screenshots
Once you have saved your image to your computer, it is then time to upload the image to your course. Based on your question, it sounds like you want to add an image to a reply (assuming a reply to a discussion topic?). Also, I am not sure if you are an instructor or a student, but the process is very similar. I'll provide you with Guides for both roles:
How do I embed an image in a discussion reply as an instructor?
How do I embed an image in a discussion reply as a student?
I hope this information will be of help to you. If I misunderstood your question, please let me knows so that we can make sure to get your question answered accurately. Thanks Lynda!
Hi, Lynda, Chris has given you great guidance. I'd only add that if you're using a Mac, by far the easiest way to take a screenshot (print screen) is to use the CMD-Shift-4 keyboard shortcut to summon the screen area capture tool. You can then save that image to your local drive and upload it using the instructions Chris provided.
