My speedgrader has a dark blue background with grey letters which makes it really hard to read.
Hmm, Michalle, my SpeedGrader doesn't look anything like what you're describing.
Could it be that your school's custom CSS incorporates a color scheme which isn't working for you?
I'll second Stefanie, our Speedgrader view doesn't look like this and my first thought was custom CSS.
No, I don't think that's the problem. We are piloting Canvas for a semester, so I don't think we have anything customized except a Banner. Let me see if I can get a screen shot. It is not my course, so I will have to ask the piloting faculty member who asked me the question to take the screen shot and send it to me.
Thank you for your help!
I you'd like to send me the URL of your test instance, I'd be happy to check it for custom CSS.
It does look like there is some custom CSS applied to your account. Was it updated so that the speedgrader text is now visible?
Since we haven't heard back from you, we're going to mark this question as "Assumed Answered." The discussion remains open for participation, so feel free to continue to post updates on your progress--and specifically, we'd like to hear the answer to Renee Carney's question about the update to your custom CSS.
Our Login background color looks like this similar to the darkblue mentioned in the initial question.
It's the same background in Speedgrader when the students has turned in a Text document.
It's really hard to read the text. This is not an issue in the speedgrader app on iPad.
Pleas explain where to change the background image to a white color in the speedgrader but not in the login background.
Even, the background you are seeing is something custom added to your Canvas environment. If you are an Instructor asking about this then you would need to contact your Canvas administrator for your Institution (if you're not sure how you can click on the Help link and then "Report a Problem"). If you are a Canvas administrator for your Institution then you'd want to post this question in the Canvas Developers group and share it with the Canvas Admins group (or vice versa). The people in these groups are the ones who implement and fix this type of thing and would be able to help.
