I am teaching three sections of the same course. Is there a way to link those same courses so I only have to input material one time?
Hello Jericho Ackerson Thank You for posting your question. Assuming that your three courses each have their own unique Canvas course shell (so that each has it's own course URL):
What you are asking about in Canvas is called cross-listing. This allows all enrollments from one course to be transferred into another course. In the "People" page, you can easily see who is in one section compared to another. As an instructor, you may be able to do this on your own, but if your school's local Canvas administrator does not allow you to do this on your own, then you would need to speak with that person to see if he/she would be willing to cross-list your courses for you. Here are a couple Guides to get you started:
How do I cross-list a section in a course as an instructor?
How do I de-cross-list a section in a course as an instructor?
Be sure to read the information in the blue box at the top of the Guide before carrying out these instructions.
Please let Community members know if you have any questions about this...thanks Jericho.
