Does the Teacher app for iOS support the Apple Pencil 2?

I've been away from Canvas for 6 months, and I just tried to use the latest version of the iOS Teacher app to annotate a PDF using the Apple Pencil 2 on an iPad Pro 11"

 

Unfortunately, the Teacher app isn't accepting input from the Pencil. It's acting as if the Pencil isn't connected (but it is). 

 

I contacted tech support, and they informed that that because they're international Canvas support, they're unable to help me with the Apple Pencil

Hi MARC BIZER, 

 

Apple Pencil 2 does work. It also has enhanced support to use the tap function to toggle the draw annotation and erase tools. I've been using it since last October. I'm not sure why it isn't working for you though. Here are a few items to try: 

 

  1. Restart your iPad. I've had the Pencil act up and that fixed the issue
  2. Make sure you are on the latest version of the app (1.8.5 as of July 30th)?
  3. Delete and reinstall the app?
