I want to create multiple dropdown quiz, but Canvas does not recognize the words in brackets if they include an accent ( ´ ) or ñ.
Hi Laura. I haven't tried this myself, but if you have followed the directions, How do I create a Multiple Dropdown quiz question?, and it isn't working I would contact Canvas Support to see if they have any suggestions. Doing a quick check, I didn't see anything written about these characters not being supported although I may have missed something. Support should be able to point you in the right direction or let you know if it appears a bug exists.
If you discover what is happening, please let us know!
Thank you, I'll let you know.
Hi Laura Trujillo-Mejía I have tried this on my Surface Pro (windows based keyboard set on English United Kingdom) and was able to include accents in a multiple drop down:
Through a range of copy and paste or using keyboard settings https://www.thoughtco.com/how-to-type-french-accents-1372770 (more probably available)
I could not make any accented letters using the Alt + option as I kept getting this message:
Hope this helps?
Thank you. I'm using Safari on a Mac, English keyboard but I switch between languages). I'll try other browsers and a PC.
The problem I have is not in the answers but in the question itself.
For example, I have
Las autoridades en dicen que el hombre que no era de sino de .
In this case, only Madrid y Bolivia appear in the possible answers.
Españolas, murió and Perú do not appear as options.
