Why isn't my Canvas working on my laptop only my cell phone? Who do I need to contact to get it fixed?
Hi Kara Plocharsky,First, check out What are the basic computer specifications for Canvas? and make sure that your computer is running adequate software. Second, it sounds like this is likely a WiFi issue, especially if your phone is using data to load canvas but your computer is using WiFi, your internet could just be down/sending out a weak signal/temporarily glitching, making it difficult for Canvas to load. Are you using public WiFi, a home router, or internet from your school? You could try connecting to a different signal or trying to load another website. If another website doesn't load, or loads very slowly, it is probably a signal issue (Canvas is a big website, it takes a lot to load and a weak signal can make the website time out before it finishes loading). Lastly, the classic "turn it (your computer) off, then turn it back on" is always worth a try. If none of that yields any results, and the problem continues to persist I would contact the IT department at your institution, and if they can't help, maybe try the Canvas IT via the "help" button (if your institution includes the ability to submit Canvas IT tickets).Best of luck!
Looks like Canvas was having some mild connectivity problems earlier today that have now been resolved accourding to the Canvas Status page.
