Is there anything the instructors do to ensure that all enrolled students will be automatically included in Canvas?
You need to speak with either your school's Registrar's Office (Office of the Registrar | Temple University ) or your Canvas administrators (Canvas | Temple ITS ).

Course Enrollment Enrollment - An automatic enrollment process will enroll Temple students with an AccessNet account registered for a course through Banner. Canvas instructors who wish to enroll students automatically can use the "Enroll Now" tool in Course Tools.
When students drop a course, they are removed from Temple's official class list and marked inactive in the Canvas course list.
