Jaelle Dragomir Welcome to the Canvas Community! As described in the Select File Upload section of How do I attach a file to a discussion reply as a student? , if an instructor allows students to attach files, only one file can be attached to a reply. You could post two separate replies to accommodate the file uploads, but I suggest you first check with your instructor to see if that's the desired approach (How do I send a message to a user in a course in the Inbox as a student?).
We have a feature idea currently open for voting you might want to take a moment to support: Attach multiple files to a discussion reply
Good luck with your studies!
I am an instructor. I need to attach more than one file to a discussion. Canvas is only allowing one attachment. How do I attach more than one?
Jaelle Dragomir
Jaelle, thanks for clarifying that. While the "attach" function only allows the user to upload a single attachment to a discussion prompt, as an instructor, you have additional options. Specifically, rather than attaching a file, you can embed it directly in the discussion prompt by using the Content Selector you'll see on the right side of the page. How do I create a discussion as an instructor? walks through the steps. And this allows you to embed as many files as you'd like, along with images and direct links to course resources.
Good luck with your courses!
