Attach a PDF to assignment

My students use Notability on their iPads and export their document as a PDF. I want the students to be able to attach the PDF of their homework to the assignment. I have turned on all assignment types, but they can't seem to attach a PDF. Any ideas?

What do you mean by "attach?" Do you want the file to be attached with some other kind of information (say, a text entry reflection with the PDF also uploaded)? Or, do you want the PDF to be previewed in the SpeedGrader? The methods you use are different depending on what you're trying to achieve.

Canvas Student 6.6 has a slightly new process for submitting assignments from third-party apps. (Canvas Student Release Notes (iOS 6.6)‌)

I have used Notability for annotations and then successfully submitted as a student. Rather than being in Canvas Student, looking to find something in Notability to submit, try being in Notability and then Open In..., select Submit Canvas Assignment, and choose the destination. Students should see a confirmation on their assignment page once it is successfully turned in.
