Score resets to zero on re-entry (anyone have a fix)

This has been a real problem for me with using Scorms with Canvas. Trying to use Scorms with 7th, 8th and 9th graders with Canvas is frustrating. I tell them to stay out of the assignment box once they are done but.....

Has anyone else had this problem? If so, have you found a fix?  

It seems to be a common and accepted problem.

It there any way to change a setting in the player or something to stop it from doing that?
