Hi, my students are not seeing the options to add their mobile phone numbers in order to receive text messages from Canvas. Any advice as how to do that? Thank you.

I dug into the settings in Canvas to see if anything had changed, however, I believe there is still a setting that is configurable by your Institution's Canvas Admin (with your Customer Success Manager) to enable or disable the SMS notification method globally. I am going to double check on that to make sure it is still the case and will come back to you.
Please let me know if the above guide is the one your student's have attempted and I will come back as soon as I have a confirmation on the global setting.
Also, I want to double check, do you use Canvas hosted by Instructure or the self-installed version either hosted by yourself or a third-party provider?
Thanks so much Stuart Ryan! It's so strange. I'm actually the admin for my school's Canvas instance (hosted by Instructure) and I cannot even find myself in the Admin settings how to enable text SMS notifications. Where can I find that?
