Guest teacher also included in conversations

I added my partner teacher as “teacher” to my Canvas class. Now, when my students send me a message, she receives it as well. Is it possible to change that so that we do not receive each other’s messages from our own students?

This sounds like an opportunity for a little education for your students.  It sounds like they are just selecting the Teachers > All in Teachers option instead of choosing the individual teacher.  You could also change your colleague to a TA in the course and she will not receive messages that are sent to the All in Teachers option.
