"makeup" quiz for 8-9 people

I had a 10 question quiz, with only one attempt for each student, and I have a large class. 8-9 student s did NOT take the quiz--missed the deadline, even though I gave them a week to do it-- but I don't mind giving them  a chance to re-do it, make it up  How do I do this?  through "moderate?"  I only want to give a second chance to those who missed it the first time, not the class as a whole.

Hi  @eniderost .  I run into this scenario sometimes with our faculty.  Another option you could consider is to create a makeup quiz and assign it just to the students who missed the first quiz.  If you make the quiz and use the "find questions" option, you can normally find the same questions as the original quiz either under a question bank (if created) or in the default bank called "unfiled questions".  If you assign an assignment to a particular set of students then only they have access.  Then you could decide whether to exempt students from the original quiz, give them a zero, etc.
