Question about the scheduler

When you create an appointment group and then decide to delete the appointment group or remove a student from an appointment, a dialog box appears with an area to write a message. I tested this from instructor point of view and from student point of view and I don't see inbox messages or notifications on the global or course dashboards. Where do these message go?
