I inadvertently labeled some of my content as 'Assignment' when it should be a 'Page' - but I can't seem to find where to edit?
Does anyone know how to do this?
Newer to Canvas,
Good evening, Deborah Kapoor Welcome to the Canvas Community. Thanks for posting your question. Changing a type of content item from an Assignment to a Page isn't possible in Canvas. You'll have to create a separate Page in your course, move all the content from the Assignment to that Page, and then finally delete the Assignment from your course. There is a Feature Idea currently open for voting called Changing Item Type. If it aligns with something you would like to see implemented by Canvas engineers, I would encourage you to vote on it and post a note in that Feature Idea letting them know why a feature like this would be important to you. I know this might not be the answer you were looking for, but I hope that it helps to answer your question. Thanks Deborah.
I feared this might be the answer Chris, will try to vote on. I appreciate the feedback!
One additional question Chris - Can I move a Page to a Module?
If not, I am doomed.
Deborah, you can certainly add a page—as well as a quiz, or an assignment, or a discussion, and more—to a module. Here are the instructions: How do I add assignment types, pages, and files as module items?
Thank you for replying. I am adding Pages, copying from previously-called Assignments, adding to Pages content, then deleting Assignments... very time-consuming. I just hadn’t realized I had made this error. But thank you.

Ah I see what I did. I did not create the new Page under the SAME module. I tried just now - and see that you CAN create a new PAGE under a module, copy from the Assignment page, then paste into the new PAGE, and delete the Assignment. Thanks goodness at least for that.
