Is it possible to have a quiz question where the student identifies parts of an image?
Amy Snow, I think there would be a couple ways to achieve this but there is not a type of question where students label an image if that is the goal. In both classic quizzes and new quizzes (classic you access from the "quizzes" button on the course menu, new quizzes is a feature option that can be turned on, if your institution allows, and then the quizzes are accessed through the "assignments" menu.) you could have an image with a callout of some sort on the image and ask students to identify the called out part.
What is New Quizzes?
In new quizzes is a really cool (in my opinion) question type called "Hot Spot" where you select a portion of an image and then ask a question and students click on the part of the image that answers the question. Think of a map and a question that says "where is Washington D.C.?" and students had to click in the area that is W.D.C.
Hopefully one of those will work! Might be some ways I have not thought of too.
