Dropping lowest grade

How do I drop the lowest quiz grade from an Assignment group.

Easy,

In the assignment view, in the quiz group, click on the three vertical dots, then Edit, under "Number of scores to ignore for each student"  ---> Lowest scores, type 1 in the blank. This will take off the lowest quiz score for you. 

This said, you have to group your quizzes into one group first, if your quizzes are mixed with other assignments, it will only take off the lowest score of all.

Can you please clarify something on this? If I set up the rules to drop the lowest quiz grade, will it drop one grade from each term? That seems to be the case based on experimentation, but I'm just looking for confirmation.
