I'm looking for a guide or tips on how to import test bank questions. We do have some teachers using ExamView.
With ExamView, once you have the quiz built, you should see and Export option on the File pull-down menu. You will want to export as a QTI file. These can then be imported under Settings > Import Content into this Course > Content Type > QTI .zip file. Here is a guide on importing QTI .zip files: How do I import quizzes from QTI packages? For guides on how to export QTI files from ExamView, check the Help in the ExamView software.
I'm not familiar with ExamView but does it let you export questions in QTI format? Most quiz tools I've used do this.
If you can create a QTI file then you can upload it into Canvas using the course import tool, as described here:
Thank you very much for the help and guide!

You might want to try to import your exam view questions in another format. I have been importing my exam view materials by first exporting the material as a blackboard 7.1-9.0 file (See below). Then importing the material as Blackboard 6/7/8/9 export .zip file (See below). This seems to work fairly well for multiple choice, matching, yes/no, and completion. For numeric response the questions are imported as fill in the blank.
I have tried this process and it worked very well for me! Using the Blackboard 711-9.0 format kept the point values where they were supposed to be, unlike some that changed the point values to 100 points each (WebCT)!
