How to add a event in canvas calendar?

I have followed those steps and my event will still not add to the calendar. I'm a student, but when I select submit the page does nothing.
Which steps are you following, the ones for How do I add an event to my calendar as a student?
I just tried the steps and got the Add Event Dialog box:
After I press submit, it looks like the page hasn't done anything until I realize that I'm in Agenda view and there's a new item listed:
Please note that you are adding events to your personal Canvas calendar and not to the course calendar. The only other calendar that you can add events to would be the group calendar if you have a course where you are in a group. How do I view a group calendar?
