Why does the swipe feature in Speed Grader work such that if I accidentally swipe, it loses all my rubric comments? Is there a way to fix this?
You would need to click the Save button for those rubric comments to be saved. In other words, if you move from one student to the next without saving, the first student's rubrics will be cleared. There is not currently a way to change this- you are more than welcome to suggest auto-saving as a feature idea (How does the feature idea process work in the Canvas Community? ), and see if it can be implemented.
Yeah, I know to save, but sometimes I am in the middle of a comment in the rubric and I want to double check the assignment, so when I use my trackpad or mouse to go back to the assignment, I inadvertently swipe to the previous student and all my rubric comments are gone. I now save, reopen the rubric, check the doc, and continue with my comments--a really clunky process.
I can see where this would be problematic, especially when it's on accident. It appears you'd like SpeedGrader to automatically save all changes when grading with the rubric. My suggestion would be to submit a feature idea for the community to vote on and comment on this specific item: How do I create a new feature idea in the Canvas Community?
Hope this helps. Ryan
