Our art department needs to create a common assessment in which all of the disciplines can get data to track. We have decided to use two outcomes that I always use in my project rubrics.
The question is if there is any way to just track the data of these outcomes from our rubrics without having to do them "manually". We were hoping the magic of technology could save us a lot of work!
Hello Alycia Yates, not sure I really understand your question but if you are giving an assessment, you can attach outcomes to the assessment itself or a bank of questions in current quizzes. If you build it in New Quizzes, you can also attach outcomes to specific questions.
If the outcome is created at the admin level then any user can pull it in and use it for rubrics or assessments. If it is created at the course level, only the instructor can attach them. Account level outcomes can be tracked across courses if you want to use the same outcomes in Art and then another discipline.
If the outcome is part of a rubric, it really does need to be scored for it to give you data. You can set it to non-scoring but there is not a "tag" feature if that is what your goal is.
Hope that helps,
Nick
