Outcomes as prerequisites

Is there a way to restrict access to a module or assignment until a minimum number of outcomes have been mastered or until certain outcomes have been mastered?

Hi  @rweir1 

This is only possible in Canvas if the achievement of outcomes is reflected in successful completion of specific aligned graded activities. In other words, if you have a quiz (or any graded activity) set to measure student achievement of one or more outcomes, then you can used that quiz to restrict access to the next module.  I do not know your level of expertise in Canvas, so I will refer you to some basic lesson first, and work my way up.

Basics:

• Review the Outcomes chapter of the Canvas Instructor Guide
• Review the Rubrics chapter of the Instructor Guide, because outcomes need to be included in a rubric associated with an assignment.

Specifics:

• How do I add requirements to a module? 
• How do I add prerequisites to a module?
