How to get rid of groups on my dashboard?

I know how to manage what classes I see but I don’t want to see the groups from previous courses.

Hello  @ljensenmath  Welcometo the Canvas Community.  Thank you for posting your question.  It is certainly understandable why you might not want to see certain Groups in Canvas any more...especially if they were part of a course that you previous had or you were in a group/club that you're no longer a member of.  The best route for you to take would be to reach out to someone in your school's Online Learning/eLearning department to see if they can help assist with your request.  I briefly searched your school's website, and I found the following page which looks to include some contact information for you: Canvas | Information Technology Services | Nebraska.  Hopefully, someone from your school will be able to assist you with your question...good luck, Lauren!

How do i take off groups from previous classes. I go to California state university or Channel Islands

Good afternoon, @KeliahBranch ...

As I had mentioned in my above response from January 2020, the best route for you to take is to reach out to folks at your school who would be able to help you...or even speak with your instructor.  We here in the Canvas Community do not have access to your school's Canvas account, so we wouldn't be able to help remove any groups that you don't want to see any longer.
