Where is my plagiarism review? When I create an assignment in which students have to submit a doc their is no way to review for plagiarism. I don't even see it as an option. Can someone please explain this to me? #plagiarism review
Hello Robert Rizzo,
Are you using Turnitin or
Here is a blog with lots of information regarding Turnitin: Canvas and Turnitin and here is one on VeriCite for Plagiarism Detection . If it's neither of those then let us know what you are using and we can try and help.
Have a great day.
Hi Robert Rizzo - This really depends on which plagiarism tool you are using within Canvas. Turnitin (to name one that I'm familiar with) has two "flavors" currently, and what used to appear as a checkbox for the review is no longer there. Here is the first place to check IF using Turnitin: Turnitin Help | Which version of Canvas do you use? .
The External Tool version requires using it as an external tool when creating the assignment, whereas for the Plagiarism Framework you should be seeing a drop-down menu called "Plagiarism Review"--which is fairly obvious on the assignment creation screen--so I'm guessing you may be using the external tool.
If you are NOT using Turnitin, I personally do not have as much experience, so I would have to direct you to your local support for more information. (Which, based on your email, appears to be here: Technology Services & Innovation | Volusia County Schools .)
I hope this helps a bit, Robert.
I did not realize this was something our school has to purchase annually. I thought plagiarism review was something that came stock with Canvas (pretty ridiculous it doesn't).
