I thought you could but not sure how too.

Hi Randy,

Canvas does have the ability to let students take a quiz more than one time, but that will depend on how your instructor has it set up.  To see if it's allowed on a quiz, go to the quiz in Canvas and see if there is a button below the instructions or a link on the right that says Take the Quiz Again.  The top of the Quiz just below the title should also show how many attempts are allowed.  The screenshot below shows a quiz set to allow 2 attempts, with the Take the Quiz Again link visible on the right.
