Using hypothesis in group assignments?

I have been using the external tool, Hypothesis, for student groups to use to annotate research papers. Is there a way to do this in Canvas in assignments where small groups are assigned to a paper and they can see each other's annotations?

Google Doc's could work well for as an alternative : )

In Canvas its called "Collaborations".

How do I create a Google Docs collaboration as a student? 

How do I start a collaboration in a group? 

A word of caution if you are using Google though, you and yours students will want to have their account set-up just as they are enrolled in your Canvas Course (so not their personal).
