Huge Flaw with Student App

Upon investigating a grade dispute from a student, I found a major flaw in the Canvas Student App. The student took two screenshots of their grades in the Student app- one after completing their final exam and one near the last day of the semester. In the first screenshot, the student has a grade of 70%. In both screenshots, all of the assignments have grades, but in the second screenshot, the student's grade is a 65%.

All of the tests in the student's course are completely fill-in-the-blank- meaning, the instructor still needs to review and adjust the grade before the student sees the final test score, right? Wrong. What I discovered when trying to get to the bottom of this is that the mobile app shows grades of non-multiple choice tests regardless of whether the instructor has gone through and submitted the grade or not. Oddly enough, this is only in the mobile app. On desktop, the grade is displayed as the rocket ship symbol.

Because the mobile app still shows the grade before the instructor has submitted it, the student is under the impression that their grade is final when the grade isn't actually being calculated into the total score until the instructor grades and submits. There is no way for the student to know this if they're not using a desktop since the app doesn't show the total in points. This is a major flaw that needs to be addressed.
