Accidentally enrolled as a student...

In an effort to help a student who was trying to register for my course, I tried to register as a "jane doe" so I could see what my student was seeing.  Unfortunately, the computer knew who I was and put in my real name... so now I am listed both as student and instructor.  I am afraid to delete the account, because I might wipe me out all together, but will leaving my student account in interfere with my course and my ability to manage it?

Hi  @dodson_j  Welcome to the Canvas Community.

I understand the angst this might result in.

However, I don't think that this will impact on your instructor role. 

If it does raise concern then you are able to simply edit your role. here's a handy guide for that How do I edit user roles in a course?
