How do I find out which students are logged on to Canvas?

Hi  @david_ross ‌ and welcome to the Canvas Community.

An instructor is unable to see exactly who is in the course unless they are working on a collaborative task together. 

You are able to get all sorts of analytics from Canvas about your students participation in the course.
