How to Merge Two Versions of the Same Course that Aren't Sections

There are two courses on my dashboard.

They are the same course, available to students in two different degree programs (so the only difference is the identification number).

I want to Merge the two courses because all students will progress through the course as a single class, regardless of under which identification number they enroll.

Neither of these courses is a section of the other and there is no enrollment as of yet (the start date is 19 May 2020).

Where is the link to the steps for merging two courses into one, please?

Thank you, Susan Borke

Hi,  @sb1857 ‌ and welcome to the Canvas community! You would need to work with your local Canvas admin. They may or may not be able to do this for you -- typically adding students from different courses is cause for FERPA concerns. Your local admin would have the ability to cross-list the sections together.

It may be possible that you have this ability. If you go to Settings -> Sections click on one. If you have a button that says Cross list section, you can perform this step yourself. Otherwise an admin would need to do this for you.
