How can we check papers submitted thru Canvas for plagiarism?
It depends on if your school has TurnItIn or some other plagiarism tool licenced and integrated with Canvas. If so, then yes. There are a couple of different ways the tool could be integrated, but typically when you create an Assignment, set the submission type to Online and check the box for File Upload. After that there should be a check box for Plagiarism Review where you can select TurnItIn. Again, this will only be present if your school has a licence with TurnItIn (or other plagiarism checker) and has it integrated with Canvas.
Dear @Terence Meehan, I recommend taking a closer look at a plagiarism checking software called Unicheck. It provides a quick and seamless native integration with Canvas. More than 100 thousand educators and 1.5 million students all over the world have already chosen our plagiarism detection tool.
The workflow for checking the paper with the help of Unicheck is the same as the one Rick Murch-Shafer has described in the previous comment. You just need to choose Unicheck in Plagiarism Review check box.
