how can i get my canvas account to stop going blank when i click on an assignment.

I don't know if you are asking as a teacher or a student, but it hardly matters. This is most likely a browser issue, meaning that you are likely using an unsupported browser. Please see Supported Web Browsers‌

We always recommend the most recent versions of Chrome or Firefox for our users.

Is your Chrome a current version (80+)? If not you will need to update it. Otherwise I would suggest submitting a support ticket. Choose the Help link, then choose Report a Problem.

 @6887862476 , we took a look at your page views which indicate that you're currently accessing Canvas through Version 78.0 of the Chrome browser. As that version is no longer supported, you will need to update to a current version as Kelley suggested upthread.
