A good place to start would be to reach out to your local Canvas administrator. Often, institutions have availability dates in place that may prevent new users from being added to rosters. Your administrator would be able to adjust that for you though. Look in your course for support links, but you can also submit a help ticket: How do I get help with Canvas as an instructor?
