How do you upload students to course without them having access or being notified?

Hello,

I want to put students in a course ahead of time before the course starts, but I don't want them to:

1. Be able to access the course until I am ready.
2. Get a notification that they were added until I am ready.

For the first one, I know I can make a "Start" and "End" date for the course, but is there anyway to make both of these things happen? If I leave the course "Unpublished," would that do it?

Hi,  @maxwell_mattern . I am not positive but I think a student may still get an email of some type if an account is created for them as part of adding them to the course. One way you could test this is by adding yourself as a student using a personal email account to see what emails a student would receive.
