Comment notification

We have noticed that students are not seeing comments or do not know they have comments from teachers unless they go back to the assignment/submission and specifically look for the comment.  It takes multiple clicks to do this as well as motivation to do so.  Is there a setting that students or teachers can set that would notify them when they have a comment on an assignment?

Hello,  @shackleforde  Welcome to the Canvas Community! Yes, students can set their notification preferences to receive notifications of submission comments, as summarized in How do I set my Canvas notification preferences as a student? The PDF linked within that document provides granular detail of each notification: the default for submission comments is Daily.
