I think what you are trying to do is upload a file (a powerpoint file) to your Canvas course as the instructor correct?  If so, these guides should help you out:

Hi  @bryanthomas135  Welcome to the Canvas Community!

Not to quibble, but you "upload" to Canvas and "download from" Canvas.

Are you asking how to upload to, or download from Canvas?

If you are asking about uploading to, please clarify where in Canvas you wish to upload, and we can link you to the appropriate guide. The Canvas Document viewer can accept and render almost any file type including PPT files.
